Step – 1 : Log on to www.blogger.com/signup.g In Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Step – 2 : Now you will see the following window. Create your account here. It is just like an email account. Type your existing email ID in the first line. Then create your password. Remember your password for future editing. Choose a good display name as it will appear on your website. Tick on the box of “Acceptance of terms” and then click on orange coloured CONTINUE button.
Step -3 : Now you will see the following window.
Type a good Blog Title in the following window. It is the main heading of your website. It should be an attractive name to the related topic on which you are preparing the website. You can take any topic which is internationally known to write on your website. Some well known topics will be given to you in the next mail. Choose any topic on which you very good knowledge.
For Example: If you are going to write about “Cricket” in your website you can choose a blog title like: CRICKET & INDIA or THE WORLD’S POPULAR GAME etc. You can change a blog title later too.
Step – 4 : Now choose a blog address that is your website (URL) name. Try to get a name without any prefix or suffix. For example, cricketindia.blogspot.com & not mycricketindia.blogspot.com/cricketindia_xyz.blogspot.com. Then click on the CONTINUE button.
Hint:
Don’t forget to click the “Check Availability” link available in blue colour. You can conform your ‘Blog Address, whether it is available or not. Try various attractive names related to your topic you are going to write.
“This blog address is available” - message will appear, if the selected name is available. Then you click on the Continue arrow to continue.
Tips:
No need to go for another option.
Step-5 : Here you will find the following window asking you to choose a template for you website. Choose a template that you like and then click on CONTINUE button.
Hint: Here you have a choice to choose 12 different types of templates.
Tips: You can easily change the template later, or even create your own custom template design once your blog is set up.
Step – 6 : The next window will come as follows. Click on the START POSTING button to add matters to your website.
Step – 7 : Here you type your matter in the edit box shown in the following window. You can type a title for your paragraph on the title box. Finally click on the orange coloured button showing Publish.
You will receive a message that your site is published. Now you just click on the ‘View Blog” Link to view your own website. You can also type your website name (URL), on the Internet Explorer address bar & feel proud to be a website owner.
